Base camp

Międzyzdroje is an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding towns – on both the Polish and German sides of the island of Usedom. It is just a dozen or so minutes’ drive from Świnoujście, with its beautiful beach, forts and harbour. Just across the border lie the charming German seaside resorts of Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin – renowned for their elegant architecture, piers, promenades and the atmosphere of former imperial health resorts. Thanks to good transport links (by car, bike or the UBB railway), Międzyzdroje is an excellent starting point for day trips.
