What to do with children in Międzyzdroje? 16 ideas that will make you hear nothing but “Just a little longer!”

Międzyzdroje is mainly associated with its beach, pier and Wolin National Park. However, when travelling with children, you will quickly discover that there are many more attractions to enjoy.

And the best part is that some of them are already waiting for you inside the apartment.

1. Take a walk along the longest pier in Western Pomerania

For children, this is no ordinary walk. They can watch ships, seagulls, fishermen and waves crashing against the structure. It is also a perfect opportunity to take a family photo with one of the most beautiful views on the Baltic coast.

Our Apartment is located right next to the pier and directly on the beach, so in our humble opinion, it is the perfect base for exploring the area!

2. Visit the European Bison Show Reserve

Not many children can say that they met a real European bison during their holiday.

At Wolin National Park, you can see these impressive animals up close and discover many fascinating facts about the natural environment of the region.

3. Enjoy the beach and build sandcastles

Sounds classic?

Sometimes the simplest activities are the ones that remain in our memories the longest.

The beaches in Międzyzdroje are wide and perfect for family games and activities.

4. Search for amber

After a storm or early in the morning, the beach turns into a real treasure-hunting ground.

Whoever finds the biggest piece of amber wins an ice cream!

5. Take a boat trip on the Baltic Sea

The sea looks completely different from the deck of a boat than it does from the beach.

For many children, this becomes one of the greatest attractions of the entire stay.

6. Take a trip to Kawcza Góra

This is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the area.

After reaching the viewing point, the whole family can admire the panorama of the Baltic Sea and the impressive cliff coastline.

7. Inflatable attractions, ice cream and a holiday atmosphere

During the summer, Międzyzdroje offers plenty of attractions for its youngest visitors.

🏰 inflatable attractions

🍦 ice cream parlours

🚚🍔 food trucks

🎠 seasonal attractions and play areas

These small pleasures are often the things children remember throughout the entire year.

8. The Oceanarium

The underwater world fascinates children of all ages.

Colourful fish, exotic species and the opportunity to see creatures that cannot be encountered during an ordinary swim in the Baltic Sea make the Oceanarium one of the most popular attractions in Międzyzdroje.

It is also an excellent idea for a less sunny day.

9. Baltic Miniature Park

Is it possible to visit every country surrounding the Baltic Sea during a single walk?

At the Baltic Miniature Park, it is.

Children can see miniature lighthouses, castles, ports and the most distinctive buildings from the countries located around the Baltic Sea.

It combines fun and education in a way that can also fascinate adults.

10. Take a ride on the tourist train

It may seem like a modest attraction, but it very often becomes one of the children’s favourites.

A ride on the tourist train allows visitors to see Międzyzdroje from a different perspective and provides plenty of fun for younger children.

For parents, it is also a welcome opportunity to rest after an intensive day of sightseeing.

11. A paradise for little sweet lovers

There is a place in Międzyzdroje that children can spot from several hundred metres away.

Actually, there are two. 😄

Huge sweet shops filled with colourful gummy sweets, candies, lollipops and chocolates attract children like a magnet.

For children, they are a true paradise.

For parents… a real test of willpower.

One thing is certain – it is difficult to walk past them without taking notice.

12. The Wax Museum

What child would not want to take a photo with their favourite athlete, film star or famous character?

The Wax Museum in Międzyzdroje allows visitors to come face to face with dozens of famous figures.

It is one of those attractions that children, teenagers and adults can all enjoy equally.

And the number of photos taken during the visit can surprise even the owner of the phone. 📸

13. Attractions already waiting inside the apartment

After a day filled with excitement, there is no need to search for more entertainment around town.

In our Apartments in Kołobrzeg and Międzyzdroje, younger guests can enjoy:

🎮 PlayStation 5

🧱 LEGO bricks

🎲 board games for the whole family

It is the perfect plan for an evening or a day when the weather is less favourable.

14. An evening by the fireplace

Yes, children love this cosy atmosphere too.

An evening film, family board games, hot chocolate and the glow of the fireplace can make even a rainy day one of the best days of the entire stay.

15. Take a trip to Germany – the border is closer than you think

The Polish-German border crossing in Świnoujście is located only a few dozen minutes’ drive from Międzyzdroje.

For children, the opportunity to visit another country during their holiday can be a major attraction in itself.

You can also explore the German seaside towns on the island of Usedom, try local specialities and see what life looks like just across the border.

After all, you do not get the opportunity to visit two countries during a single holiday every day. 😊

16. Let children simply be children

What can you do with children in Międzyzdroje? Nowadays, every minute often seems to be carefully planned.

At the seaside, you can finally slow down.

Run along the beach.

Collect seashells.

Build sandcastles.

Watch the waves.

And create memories that will last for years.

The greatest attraction?

Not the pier.

Not the inflatable attractions.

Not the PlayStation 5.

The greatest attraction is spending time together – something that is often missing from everyday life.

And Międzyzdroje is exceptionally good at helping families rediscover those moments. ❤️
